MANNEQUINS BIOGRAPHY
Maira Kalman is the author/illustrator of a dozen children's books including: Max Makes a Million; Next Stop, Grand Central; Fireboat and The Heroic Adventures of the John J. Harvey. She is also the author of un(FASHION) and COLORS: The Tibor Years.

She has designed fabrics for Isaac Mizrahi, ballet sets for Mark Morris, and a line of products distributed by the Museum of Modern Art.

She is a frequent contributor to the New Yorker (most recently the infamous NEWYORKISTAN cover in collaboration with Rick Meyerowitz), New York Times, Interview and numerous other publications. She also teaches graduate design at the School of Visual Arts and is on the Board of the New York Chapter of the AIGA.
