MAIRA KALMAN MANNEQUINS BIOGRAPHY Maira Kalman is the author/illustrator of a dozen children's books including: Max Makes a Million; Next Stop, Grand Central; Fireboat and The Heroic Adventures of the John J. Harvey. She is also the author of un(FASHION) and COLORS: The Tibor Years. She has designed fabrics for Isaac Mizrahi, ballet sets for Mark Morris, and a line of products distributed by the Museum of Modern Art. She is a frequent contributor to the New Yorker (most recently the infamous NEWYORKISTAN cover in collaboration with Rick Meyerowitz), New York Times, Interview and numerous other publications.
